How to get here
Hotel Olivedo is located in the small village of Varenna, on the eastern branch of Lake Como, 20Km from Lecco. Thanks to its strategic location, it is the ideal starting point for discovering the beauty of the lake visiting Milan, Como and nearby Switzerland. Hotel Olivedo is easy to reach from Milan and its airports, by train (the station is located close to the hotel), by ferryboat through the navigation network of Lake Como. By car, it can be reached from Lecco by driving along the coast of the east shore of the lake, or even by ferry from Bellagio.
FROM MILAN LINATE AIRPORT
Take the road TANGENZIALE EST towards A4 VENEZIA. After approximately 10 km take the exit TANGENZIALE NORD – E64 – A4. Go straight for about 6 km, then take the exit SS36 LECCO/MONZA. Once in Lecco, follow the signs towards SONDRIO – VALTELLINA (still SS36) and take the first exit on the right towards MANDELLO DEL LARIO – ABBADIA LARIANA – VARENNA. Continue on the road for about 15 km and you will find the entrance to Varenna on the left.
FROM MILAN MALPENSA AIRPORT
Take the A8 highway towards MILAN and continue until the exit VIALE CERTOSA. Here, merge onto the A4 highway towards MONZA, exit at CINISELLO BALSMO, and take the SS36 road towards LECCO-SONDRIO. Once in Lecco, follow the signs towards SONDRIO – VALTELLINA (still SS36) and take the first exit on the right towards MANDELLO DEL LARIO – ABBADIA LARIANA – VARENNA. Continue on the road for about 15 km and you will find the entrance to Varenna on the left.
FROM BERGAMO ORIO AL SERIO AIRPORT
Follow the signs towards Bergamo (SP116 e SP591bis), then continue on the road towards Lecco. Once in Lecco, follow the signs towards SONDRIO – VALTELLINA (still SS36) and take the first exit on the right towards MANDELLO DEL LARIO – ABBADIA LARIANA – VARENNA. Continue on the road for about 15 km and you will find the entrance to Varenna on the left.
FROM MILAN CENTRALE
From Milan Central station take the regional train heading towards Tirano and get off at the stop Varenna-Esino (ETA approx. 64 minutes). From the train station of Varenna, the hotel is 5 minutes away on foot or 2 minutes by taxi.
